Terms of use

The Private List is a directory of adult services advertised in New Zealand. We publish listings and pass messages between clients and advertisers. We do not arrange bookings, take part in them, employ advertisers, or take any share of what an advertiser earns.

By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

You must be 18 or over to view the site, contact an advertiser, or advertise.

Do not use the site to harass anyone, to find or offer anyone under 18, or to reach anyone who is not advertising by their own choice. If you see a listing that worries you, tell us at [email protected] with the link. We read every report.

When you create or claim a listing, you confirm that:

• you are 18 or over and legally entitled to work in New Zealand;
• the listing is yours, and you advertise by your own choice;
• every photo is of you, and you have the right to publish it;
• what you write is accurate, and the contact details are yours.

Nothing is published until you are verified and press publish yourself. Verification is a government ID and a dated selfie, checked by a person. You can pause or hide your listing at any time from your portal.

We may decline, pause or remove a listing that breaks these terms, that we cannot verify, or that we have good reason to believe puts someone at risk. Where we can, we will tell you why.

Not allowed on a listing: anyone under 18; anyone other than you (agencies list each person separately); photos of someone else; offering unprotected services; other people's contact details.

If you already advertise in New Zealand, we may have prepared a private draft page from details you had advertised publicly. A prepared page is never shown on the site. It only becomes public if you claim it, get verified and publish it. If you would rather we deleted it, email [email protected] and we will.

Listing is free. You are charged one credit when a client's message is delivered to your phone through our text relay. Your first 10 contacts are free, and a repeat message from the same client within 7 days is free.

If you decline a contact by replying N and its reference number within the decline window shown in the message, the credit is returned. You can dispute any other charge from the Messages page in your portal.

Credits you buy never expire. Prices are shown on the pricing page before you buy.

Browsing is free and you do not need an account. When you text an advertiser's code to our number, we forward your message and your phone number to that advertiser, so they can reply to you directly from their own phone. Only text if you are happy for them to have your number. Reply STOP to stop messages from us.

Advertisers are independent. We check who they are, not how any booking goes, and any arrangement you make is between you and them.

You keep ownership of everything you upload. While your listing is published, you let us display it on the site and in the feeds and search-engine files that point to it. When you remove it, we stop.

We work to keep the site accurate, verified and available, but we provide it as it is and cannot promise it will always be error-free or online. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under New Zealand law that cannot be excluded.

These terms are governed by New Zealand law. We may update them; the date at the foot of this page shows when they last changed, and advertisers will be told of any change that affects what they pay.
